The programme is structured to cover various topics related to learning, teaching, assessment and research skills, while simultaneously enhancing the student's abilities for academic and reflective writing.
This Postgraduate Certificate is an online course which is recognised by Staff and Educational Development Association (SEDA) and accredited by the Higher Education Academy (HEA).
On completing the programme, graduates will earn recognition as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA).
Students are assigned a personal tutor to help them progress ahead with their learning, and are supported by the Online Support Services Team throughout the duration of their studies.
The programme provides students with access to global networking opportunities with professionals from different backgrounds and professional settings.
As a standard entry requirements, students are required to produce a Bachelor's (honours) degree with 2:2 or above classification, with a background in a teaching and assessment role within higher education.
Applicants with lesser qualifications are also encouraged to apply provided that they produce sufficient evidence of relevant industrial work experience.
For applicants whose first language is not English, an approved English language test is normally recommended; however, alternative options can be further discussed with your personal academic consultant.
Upon successfully graduating, students can enhance their work profile and professional standing, and hence access better opportunities for transfer to various academic positions within the university system.
